Current Projects
Sheffield Bionics Society
Currently leading the Structure Team of the Sheffield Bionics Society and building a display robot arm for a transradial prosthetic.

CNC Machine
I am currently building a CNC machine when I am not at University. I am looking to produce a new version of this design, that will swap 3D printed parts for metal parts.

Previous Projects
Here are some of my best projects!
CanSat
A competition to build a simulation of a satellite within the volume and shape of a 330ml drink can.

I designed all structural parts of the satellite simulation, including parts to let it drive around after landing. This included a gearbox, wheels that expand through rotation and a parachute release mechanism.
I worked in a multidisciplinary team, with other members working on the electrical and software elements.
We only finished a first prototype, which had an issue fitting the components into the body due to an underestimation of the volume of wires. We were able to test the gearbox and expanding wheels, both of which functioned well.
The CanSat was still launched in a rocket!
Three Finger Hand

I designed the shell for the palm of the Three finger hand to fit fingers, actuators and a control board. I also designed a way that the thumb could hinge while still allowing the tondon to be pulled by the actuator.
I Printed the first prototype. This project is now being further prototyped by this year’s three finger hand bionics subteam.
Neural Network from Scratch

I wrote the program in C. The program allowed the user to choose hyperparameters and activation functions for the model, which would then be trained and tested on the Semeion handwritten digit dataset.
The model regularly achieved 90% accuracy on test data.
Line Following Robot
Our team successfuly programmed the robot to follow the lines, rotate or stop once it hit a white bar and change lanes.
The robot used PID control and an array of infared sensors to follow the line. We first mathematically modeled the steering system and used this to optimise control parameters.
We also used PID control for automatic braking, using an ultrasonic sensor.

CAD Projects
Some of my other projects made in Fusion 360.
